mr relish LOVES pizza. Whenever I ask him what he wants for dinner, he always says, without a doubt…”PIZZA!”.  So when I found out one of my favourite bread men at the taylor square markets had sourdough pizza bases I had to grab some (Berry Woodfired | Sourdough – yes from the “best sourdough bread bakery in Berry!”). The packet contained two bases the size of a typical ’small’ pizza, so...

roast vegetable n feta frittata.

roast vegetable n feta frittata.

I love autumn and the warmer meals (and produce) it brings with it, so for me, cooking frittata’s this time of year is a perfect mid week meal. They’re also tasty re-heated for lunch during the day too, especially when the weathers been wet n cool like here in Sydney of late. I’m surprised how easy they can be to make, yet so delicious! Working out how to spell the word ‘frittata’ correctly seemed more...

sweet honey soy duck.

sweet honey soy duck.

I love duck. I’ve really tried to re-assess this for the duck lovers who prefer the waddling, living versions, but I’m sorry, I just can’t do it.  I’m duck addicted. Duck is a dish I’ve always left up to the professionals to make, until recently. I cannot hold out for just eating out anymore and have just started to cook it. This is actually my second attempt at cooking a crispy skinned fillet (first was this...

duck fillet with home-made plum sauce.

I bought some duck fillets from Pepe’s Ducks while at Thornleigh Farmers market last weekend and couldn’t wait to play around with flavours, and cook ‘em up for dinner (duck is one of my favourites). I watched Gordon...

I made this easy n tasty pasta dish from a few goodies out of my fridge, and the ingredients in this recipe could easily be substitute to whatever you have in yours… the chorizo provides a lot of flavour in this so would probably recommend keeping that in. Chicken isn’t a must and zucchini, carrot and snow peas would no doubt work well. Could also use any pasta, doesn’t have to be penne… Feeds 2 people like kings,...

roast pork with sweet mustard apple sauce.

roast pork with sweet mustard apple sauce.

This is yummo! The sweet mustard apple sauce makes a nice twist on traditional roast pork n apple, and is fairly easy to make as you can just throw all the roasting ingredients into the the same pan, whiz up the sauce and hey presto! I served it with the vegetables below, but you could use anything you have in the cupboard/fridge or what’s in season. Pumpkin, zucchini & potatoes could work just as well, would possibly be less...
